Call for IUPUI MURI Mentorship Proposals

Applications are sought from all IUPUI faculty and researchers who are interested in mentoring undergraduates to conduct inter/multidisciplinary research in teams of at least two students studying in different disciplines. Students or student groups may submit proposals through a faculty member or researcher who agrees to sponsor the research. This is a unique opportunity provided to IUPUI faculty and researchers for mentoring students while earning research funds and conducting pilot projects.

The deadline for proposal submission by faculty mentors is August 1, 2008 for the fall. The IUPUI MURI Selection Committee will review the submitted proposals. Winning proposals for summer will be announced by August 15, 2008 and the students will be asked to apply by September 2, 2008.

Due to the competitiveness of the MURI at IUPUI Program, the approval of a mentor does not guarantee final approval by the MURI director. The decision for final selections will be made competitively, in consultation with the mentors, after the student-application deadline.
